hi everyone i have some bad news i have to go to the diabetic doctor as my blood sugars are high and my family doctor does not why i am a little upset and worried but i will be ok i have been busy with theo and the coast post i just hope everyone can wish me luck as i go on the 21 well that all for now i send my love to everyone take care shelly

hi everyone i did my ac1 test and i got it back and it down to 7.2 from 7.5 so that good always i did turn the big 3o on may 16 and i got some great grifts and i went out to dinner with family and friends so it was good i also might be going to vcc in the fall so it going to be a busy time coming up i been reading diabetes forcast and one of my letters made it in so that good well anyways take care shelly

Hi I’M Shelly and I have type 2 diabetes I just finished 1 year as I diabetic so I thought I write something for the coast post on what it like to have diabetes. To have diabetes is to have to test your blood sugars everyday and take pills or insulin but that not all as a diabetic you have to watch what you eat and make sure to do some exercise everyday. Having diabetes put you at risk for many other conditions like eye disease and heart disease but if you look after your self you may not have any of problems. The next thing you have to do as a diabetic is have a ac1 test this is a blood test done every three months to see how sugar in your blood you want the sugar to be around 7 but you need to ask your doctor what number they want you at. To know it your diabetic you will a blood test and if your blood sugars come back over 7 or higher you maybe diabetic. November is diabetes month and on November 14 it is world diabetes day. There is the Canadian Diabetes Assoc ion and there website is www.diabetes.ca this is a good site as it for Canadians and you can get some some great information. I just had my ac1 test done and it was 7.5 so it good but I want it at 7 so I will keep working at it. This has been a great first year as a diabetic but I still got a ways to go. well i did it i got my bg down to 7.5 it was 8.6 but i still need to have it 7 so i will work at that for you that don't know what a ac1 test it a blood test for people with diabetes that tells the doctor how much sugar is in your blood over a three month time i still doing everything i do and a maybe become the head person for the coast post well in the next few weeks take care shelly

Hi guy Sorry I have not Bloged BUT I have BEEN Super busy so here goes my mom hurt her back and she at home all last week she just has to rest and I have been to the clubhouse and theo and I meet with jade on friday to go swiming. The Coast Post Needs more people so I have to ask everyone at the clubhouse to help and i did an ad for it too my diabetes has been ok but high the last week my talker is fine and i going for my ac1 test next week and my class has made a blog it called righttowritebc and it here on blogger so you can look it up well that all for now

well what a week it has been i have a coast post meeting on thursday and i still to theo three nights a week and on fridays i swim with jade. I still take metformin for my diabetes but my doctor has just put me on avandia as my blood sugars were still to high. my cat talker is doing better and sends his love and thanks. my bg today was 18.9 so it still high will see if the new pills work take care shelly

well i've been sick over chirstmas and i been busy too i got an mp3 player for chirstmas so it been fun with that. My cat talker got hurt and i had to take him to the vet and he doing ok now. i meet with jade on friday and i doing the coast post next week so i've been running around and i still hve high bg so i may have to start a new drug well that all for now shelly
